  • What to expect during a portrait session
Lighting is pre-staged for the best composition and exposure for the tintype process. The images above are good approximations of the framing and creamy tone you can expect in your tintype.

Tintypes are prepared, exposed, and developed withing just a few minutes, so you will have the opportunity to view each portrait immediately after your session. However, your portrait will need to be thoroughly washed, dried and lacquered with a protective finish before you can take it home. You may pick up your finished tintypes two hours after they are shot, the next day, or it can be delivered to you. Reservations are required.

Due to the lighting requirements, we can only accommodate portraits of individuals or two subjects together during this session.
